Dracoflavan A (compound 5) undergoes acetylation; 30 mg of the sample is dissolved in dry pyridine (0.3 mL), Ac₂O (0.5 mL) is added, and the reaction proceeds for 30 min. Reaction with Ac₂O in the pyridine system affords its triacetate derivative, confirming that the parent molecule contains three phenolic hydroxyl groups^[1].
