Hydrocortisone caproate (125-1000 μg local per pellet; 1000-2000 μg daily subcutaneous; 6-7 days) inhibits cotton pellet-induced granuloma formation in rats, with 54% inhibition at a daily subcutaneous dose of 2000 μg and 35% inhibition at a local dose of 1000 μg per pellet^[1].

Carbohydrate Metabolism

Hydrocortisone caproate (oral; hourly; 5 doses) has equivalent liver glycogen-modulating activity to hydrocortisone alcohol when administered to fasted albino mice^[1].
