Melissic acid-d3
"Melissic acid-d3 (Triacontanoic acid-d3) is the deuterated-labeled Melissic acid (HY-N8451). Melissic acid, which belongs to the category of long-chain saturated fatty acids. It is a 30-carbon straight-chain fatty acid found in a variety of natural sources, including beeswax and coconut oil. Due to its unique physical properties, such as high melting point and viscosity, Melissic acid has a variety of uses in industry. It can be used as a lubricant in the production of some plastics and rubber, and is also used in the manufacture of surfactants and detergents."

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Stable heavy isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, and other elements have been incorporated into drug molecules, largely as tracers for quantitation during the drug development process. Deuteration has gained attention because of its potential to affect the pharmacokinetic and metabolic profiles of drugs.
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
Application
1. This compound can be used as a tracer
2. This compound can be used as an internal standard for quantitative analysis by NMR, GC-MS, or LC-MS.
