Movronersen sodium (BIIB-101 sodium; ION-464 sodium) is an antisense oligonucleotide that targets SNCA; it promotes the degradation of SNCA mRNA and downregulates the synthesis of α-synuclein protein. Movronersen sodium can be used in research related to multiple system atrophy and associated disorders.
