N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine
Based on 1 Customer Validation
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine ((E/Z)-Terrestribisamide) is an inhibitor of pigmentation that reduces pigmentation in vivo. N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine exhibits anti-melanogenic, antioxidant, and α-glucosidase (α-glucosidase) inhibitory activities. N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine significantly decreases MITF protein levels and scavenges reactive oxygen species, while protecting neuroblastoma cells, keratinocytes, and erythrocytes from oxidative damage. N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine can be used for research on pigmentation, non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, neurodegenerative diseases, and skin aging.

In Vitro
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (1 h pretreatment, 48 h co-treatment) significantly decreases MITF protein levels in Forskolin (HY-15371)-stimulated B16F1 mouse melanoma cells, while tyrosinase levels only slightly decrease, and it has no effect on TRP-1 and TRP-2 levels[1].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (5.0 mM) is a reversible α-glucosidase inhibitor, as enzyme activity is restored after removal of the inhibitor by ultrafiltration[2].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (0.1-200.0 μM) exhibits an IC50 exceeding 100 μM against HCE-2[3].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (12.5-100 mM; 30 min) exhibits dose-dependent cytoprotective effects against UVA irradiation in HaCaT cells[5].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (5-50 μM; 30 min) exhibits concentration-dependent protection against 1O2-induced hemolysis in human erythrocytes[5].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (4 min) acts as a singlet oxygen quencher with a Kq of 1.22 × 108 M-1s-1[5].
N,N′-Diferuloylputrescine (50 μM; 30 min) exhibits a cellular uptake rate of 1.19% in human erythrocytes[5].
