NSC66098
NSC66098 is an RNA-binding agent. NSC66098 binds to expanded CAG repeat RNA containing AA mismatches and inhibits its pathogenic function. NSC66098 protects cells from proteotoxicity induced by polyglutamine aggregates. NSC66098 can be used in research on Huntington's disease and spinocerebellar ataxia.

Description
In Vitro
NSC66098 selectively blocks (5′CAG/3′GAC) RNA and inhibits PCR amplification of CAG-repeat DNA, without comparable effects on controls[1].
NSC66098 protects Cos-7 cells from proteotoxicity induced by polyglutamine aggregates[1].
NSC66098 (24 h) reduces Thioflavin T fluorescence of protein aggregates in HD-derived GM04281 fibroblasts in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
