Pigment blue 60
Pigment blue 60 (Indanthrene) is an anthraquinone-based dye used as a model in studies of conjugated polymer degradation. Pigment blue 60 targets YfeX-like peroxidases, binds to the catalytic pocket, and undergoes oxidative cleavage. Pigment blue 60 serves as a carbon and energy source for Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pigment blue 60 is efficiently removed and degraded by Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
