Plozasiran sodium (ARO-APOC3 sodium) is a siRNA targeting APOC3. Plozasiran sodium mediates RNA interference-mediated degradation and silencing of APOC3 mRNA, reducing APOC3 synthesis and expression, apoC3 protein expression, and plasma ApoC3 concentrations. Plozasiran sodium reduces fasting and non-fasting plasma triglyceride concentrations in diet-induced hypertriglyceridemia. Plozasiran sodium can be used in research on hypertriglyceridemia, mixed hyperlipidemia, and mixed dyslipidemia.
