PPO-IN-27
PPO-IN-27 is an NtPPO inhibitor (IC50 = 14.31 nM) that exerts herbicidal activity by inhibiting protoporphyrinogen oxidase in chlorophyll and heme biosynthesis, and is effective against both broadleaf weeds and grass weeds. PPO-IN-27 can be used for research on weed control.

Molecular docking predicts that PPO-IN-27 (10ba) fits well into the hydrophobic cavity of NtPPO, with its cyclopropyl diester side chain forming putative hydrogen-bond interactions (2.1-2.6 Å) with Thr70, Ser474, Mse69, and Asn468[1].
