CX-P is a tumor-targeting, polarity-specific near-infrared fluorescent probe based on a coumarin-xanthene scaffold. When CX-P is used for cell imaging, Ex/Em = 560/650-750 nm; when used for in vivo imaging in mice, Ex/Em = 560/625-725 nm. CX-P exhibits photostability and low cytotoxicity. CX-P selectively accumulates in HeLa and 4T1 tumor cells via biotin receptors and produces strong red fluorescence, while the fluorescence signal is weak in normal cells. CX-P can monitor intracellular polarity changes in tumor cells and demonstrates tumor-targeting capability in live imaging of tumor-bearing mice. CX-P can be used for cancer-related research .
