Aluminum Hydroxide is an orally active main form of aluminum used as adjuvant. Aluminum hydroxide-based adjuvant researches include the repository effect, pro-phagocytic effect, and activation of the pro-inflammatory NLRP3 pathway. Aluminum Hydroxide also acts as adjuvant to compensate low inherent immunogenicity of subunit vaccines .

7-Ketocholesterol is an oxidation product of cholesterol, widely present in atherosclerotic plaques, and has a stronger atherogenic effect than cholesterol. 7-Ketocholesterol can inhibit the rate-limiting enzymes involved in bile acid and cholesterol synthesis, such as cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase and HMG-CoA reductase. 7-Ketocholesterol exhibits pro-inflammatory effects both in vivo and in vitro and can induce cell apoptosis (apoptosis) .

Gabexate mesylate (FOY) is is a competitive and non-antigenic synthetic inhibitor of trypsin-like serine proteinases. Gabexate mesylate inhibits human thrombin, urokinase, plasmin, and Factor Xa with Kis of 0.97, 1.3, 1.6, and 8.5 μM, respectively. Gabexate mesylate binds to human and bovine tryptase with Kis of 3.4 nM and 18 μM, respectively. Gabexate mesylate exerts an anticoagulant effect on the clotting activity of thrombin and has anti-inflammatory effect by viainhibition of NF-κB, proinflammatory cytokines, and nitric oxide. Gabexate mesylate is used for pancreatitis and disseminated intravascular coagulation .

STAT1/3-IN-1 is a potent STAT1/3 inhibitor with potent anti-inflammatory effect. STAT1/3-IN-1 inhibits phosphorylation and nuclear translocation of STAT1/3 to modulate microglial inflammation, reduces LPS (HY-D1056)-induced pro-inflammatory cytokines (NO, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α) and inflammatory mediators (iNOS, COX-2). STAT1/3-IN-1 exhibits low toxicity in mice. STAT1/3-IN-1 can be used for the research of neuroinflammation .
