Picrolonic acid

Cat. No.: HY-W127746

CAS No.: 550-74-3

Target:

Parasite Bacterial Biochemical Assay Reagents

Research Areas:

Infection

Picrolonic acid is a nematode hatching agent and bacterial frameshift mutagen. Picrolonic acid induces egg hatching in various nematodes. Picrolonic acid induces frameshift mutations in Salmonella. Picrolonic acid preferentially inhibits the growth of DNA polymerase-deficient E. coli . Picrolonic acid also serves as an analytical reagent for the determination of calcium, magnesium, lead, strontium, and thorium, and for the analysis of alkaloids, tryptophan, and phenylalanine. Picrolonic acid is used in research related to bacterial and parasitic infections .

(R)-(-)-2-Phenylglycinol

Cat. No.: HY-W002038

CAS No.: 56613-80-0

Synonyms: D-Phenylglycinol; (-)-Phenylglycinol

Target:

Biochemical Assay Reagents Parasite Drug Intermediate

Research Areas:

Infection Others

(R)-(-)-2-Phenylglycinol (D-Phenylglycinol; (-)-Phenylglycinol) is a chiral β-amino alcohol, a starting material for chiral synthesis, and a potential nematicide. (R)-(-)-2-Phenylglycinol exhibits nematicidal and egg hatching inhibitory activity against the southern root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita), and is also an upregulated metabolite in the fermentation broth of Streptomyces aquilus JXGZ01. (R)-(-)-2-Phenylglycinol can be used as a framework for constructing zwitterionic bicyclic lactams and multi-substituted piperidine/piperidine acid drugs. (R)-(-)-2-Phenylglycinol can be used in drug synthesis and nematode infection-related research .

(±)8-HEPE

Cat. No.: HY-126108

CAS No.: 99217-77-3

Target:

Others

Research Areas:

Metabolic Disease

(±)8-HEPE is produced by non-enzymatic oxidation of EPA. It contains equal amounts of (±)8-HEPE and 8(R)-HEPE. The ability of (±)8-HEPE to induce hatching of E. modestus and B. balanoides eggs is probably due to the presence of the 8(R) isomer within the racemic mixture.

Gly-Gly-Arg

Cat. No.: HY-P4249

CAS No.: 54944-27-3

Target:

Inhibitory Antibodies

Research Areas:

Endocrinology

Gly-Gly-Arg is a tripeptide, and a “pumping pheromone” released from the hatching eggs. Gly-Gly-Arg induces pleopod pumping activity, with the threshold concentration of 10 nM. Gly-Gly-Arg shows maximum percentage response of 58.3%. Gly-Gly-Arg act as pheromones and controlls larval release in subtidal crustaceans .
