Anticancer agent-364 is a phenylalanine-derived hydrazone heterocyclic compound that exhibits selective cytotoxicity against NSCLC lung cancer cells. Anticancer agent-364 (compound 9d) (15.625-1000 μM; 24-72 h) exhibits IC₅₀ = 15.60 μM against A549 cells, IC₅₀ = 22.49 μM against PC9 cells, and IC₅₀ = 1200.00 μM against BEAS-2B normal lung epithelial cells; the selectivity index SI = 76.92 for A549 and SI = 53.36 for PC9^[1].

Anticancer agent-364 (IC₂₀-IC₅₀ values; 24 h) selectively induces apoptosis in A549 lung cancer cells, but does not induce apoptosis in healthy BEAS-2B cells^[1].
