Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
1-Bromo-6-chlorohexane (compound 1m) is a primary alkyl bromide substrate used in nickel-catalyzed reductive cross-electrophile coupling reactions with symmetric tetrasulfides[2].
1-Bromo-6-chlorohexane is a chloroalkane raw material for synthesizing the MTPABP-Cl fluorescent probe and can undergo an etherification reaction with (4-hydroxyphenyl) boronic acid[3].
1‑Bromo‑6‑chlorohexane participates as an alkylating reagent in the preparation of macrocyclic HDAC inhibitor compounds 5 and 6[4].
1‑Bromo‑6‑chlorohexane (compound 1) undergoes irreversible cathodic reduction at a silver cathode in DMF containing 0.050 M tetra‑n‑butylammonium tetrafluoroborate; various alkenes and alkanes are formed as minor products[5].
