Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
2-Bromo-4-fluorophenol (5 mg/L; 120 min) achieved optimal oxidation via 0.2 U/mL laccase-catalyzed oxidation at pH 6.0 and 308 K, generating hydroxylated/coupled products as well as halogenated benzoquinone/acid derivatives[1].
2-Bromo-4-fluorophenol (5.0 g; 1 h at -60 °C) was converted to fluorosalicylaldehyde via n-BuLi-mediated lithium-halogen exchange and DMF formylation in 81% yield[2].
2-Bromo-4-fluorophenol (2.10 g (11 mmol); 2.5 h total) was reacted with 4,5,7-trichloroquinoline in NMP/aqueous NaOH to give 4-(2-bromo-4-fluorophenoxy)-5,7-dichloroquinoline (5) in 56% yield[5].
2-Bromo-4-fluorophenol (2.10 g (11 mmol); 6 h total) was reacted with 4,7-dichloroquinoline in NMP/aqueous NaOH to give 4-(2-bromo-4-fluorophenoxy)-7-chloroquinoline (6) in 43% yield[5].
