Curcumenol suppresses LPS-induced phosphorylation of Akt and p38 MAPK, as well as the production of pro-inflammatory mediators/proteins, and downregulates the SLC7A11/NF-κB/TGF-β pathway. Curcumenol binds to and inhibits the activation of Fyn and Lyn, blocks the function of downstream FcεRI signaling components, and reduces the release of allergic mediators/cytokines. Curcumenol upregulates the expression of KDM6B, and promotes chondrocyte proliferation and cartilage repair. Curcumenol induces ferroptosis and apoptosis, regulates the EMT process, and inhibits tumor growth and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer. Curcumenol possesses anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, antioxidant, antitumor, antiviral and hepatoprotective activities. Curcumenol can be used in research related to intervertebral disc degeneration, cancer, inflammation, central nervous system neurodegenerative diseases, allergic reactions and knee osteoarthritis.

Curdione ((+)-Curdione) is an orally active sesquiterpenoid. Curdione inhibits platelet aggregation. Curdione induces ferroptosis in colorectal cancer via m6A methylation mediated by METTL14 and YTHDF2. Curdione inhibits ferroptosis in Isoproterenol (HY-B0468)-induced myocardial infarction by regulating the Keap1/Trx1/GPX4 signaling pathway, suppressing oxidative stress (ROS) and apoptosis. Curdione ameliorates Doxorubicin (HY-15142)-induced cardiotoxicity by inhibiting oxidative stress (ROS) and activating the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway. Curdione ameliorates sepsis-induced lung injury by inhibiting platelet-mediated neutrophil extracellular trap formation. Curdione ameliorates Bleomycin (HY-17565A)-induced pulmonary fibrosis by inhibiting TGF-β-induced fibroblast-to-myofibroblast differentiation. Curdione exhibits neuroprotective effects against focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats. Curdione exerts antiproliferative effects against human uterine leiomyosarcoma by targeting IDO1. Curdione protects vascular endothelial cells and atherosclerosis by regulating DNMT1-mediated ERBB4 promoter methylation. Curdione inhibits inducible prostaglandin E2 production (IC₅₀ = 1.1 μM) and cyclooxygenase 2 expression.

Furanodienone is one of the major bioactive constituents derived from Rhizoma Curcumae. Furanodienone induced apoptosis.

Curzerenone is an orally active sesquiterpene compound and Antibacterial agent. Curzerenone can be isolated from Curcuma zedoaria and Curcuma aeruginosa plants. Curzerenone increases ROS levels, activates Apoptotic signaling pathways, and attenuates the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. Curzerenone exhibits anticancer activity against liver cancer and cervical cancer. Curzerenone has antioxidant effects. Curzerenone shows weak antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli. Curzerenone can be used in research related to hepatocellular carcinoma, cervical cancer, and Escherichia coli infection.

Phaeusmane F is a eudesmane-type sesquiterpene that inhibits LPS (HY-D1056)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages with an IC₅₀ of 4.8 μM. Phaeusmane F is found in the rhizomes of Curcuma phaeocaulis. Phaeusmane F can be used in research related to inflammatory responses.

Curcuma phaeocaulis polysaccharide is a polysaccharide derived from Curcuma phaeocaulis.
