Antifungal agent 188
Antifungal agent 188 is an Antifungal agent. Antifungal agent 188 exhibits weak inhibitory activity against E. coli PDHc-E1, with IC50 = 59.7 μM. Antifungal agent 188 induces extensive ultrastructural damage in fungal hyphae, disrupting the cell wall and cell membrane. Antifungal agent 188 causes mitochondrial dysfunction and impaired energy production. Antifungal agent 188 induces ROS accumulation. Antifungal agent 188 interferes with glucan-related carbohydrate processes, reduces β-glucan (HY-W145521) content, and impairs cell wall integrity. Antifungal agent 188 is a potent in vitro inhibitor of M. fructicola and B. cinerea. Antifungal agent 188 can be used for research on peach brown rot.

Biological Activity
Description
In Vitro
Antifungal agent 188 (50-125 μg/mL; 12 h before inoculation; 4-5 days after inoculation) effectively controls peach brown rot caused by M. fructicola, with control efficacy reaching 93-100% at 50-125 μg/mL[1].
Antifungal agent 188 (0.3-2 μg/mL; 72 h) reduces cellular β-1,3-glucan content in M. fructicola, supporting its interference with glucan-related cell wall processes[1].
