Biological Activity: SQN400 (m-THPBC) is a near-infrared Photosensitizer and singlet oxygen-mediated photodynamic tissue necrosis inducer. SQN400 is activated by near-infrared light at a wavelength of 740 nm. SQN400 exhibits a dose threshold in photodynamic liver necrosis, beyond which the extent of necrosis correlates with the light product. SQN400 induces full-thickness necrosis in implanted mouse colorectal tumors. SQN400 is used in the study of colorectal adenocarcinoma[1][2].
