Biological Activity: Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (20:5) (LysoPE (0:0/20:5)) is a lysophosphatidylethanolamine containing a 20:5 acyl chain. Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (20:5) competitively binds to site 1 and site 2 of human serum albumin (HSA), with Ki values of 13.77 μM and 4.02 μM, respectively. Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (20:5) is elevated in Doxorubicin hydrochloride (HY-15142)-induced cardiotoxicity and is reduced by BP1. Lysophosphatidylethanolamine (20:5) is useful for metabolomics and biomarker studies of cardiomyopathy, type 2 diabetes insulin resistance, and obesity[1][2][3][4].
