Biological Activity: Pronaphthalide A is a cytotoxic agent and an inhibitor of SFTSV glycoprotein Gn (domain B) (Kd = 0.74 mM). It blocks viral binding and internalization by binding to the conserved B domain of SFTSV Gn, thereby inhibiting SFTSV infection at the viral entry stage, and exhibits broad-spectrum antiviral activity against bunyaviruses. Pronaphthalide A can be used for research on gastric cancer, severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome, and HIV/AIDS[1][2][3].
