Biological Activity: Heliomicin is an antifungal peptide that binds to fungus-specific glucosylceramide sphingolipids. Fungal membrane glucosylceramide is required for the activity and growth inhibitory effect of Heliomicin. Heliomicin has no antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Heliomicin can be used in research related to fungal infections[1][2][3][4][5].
