Biological Activity: HS-MMP-SH is a bis-cysteine matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-degradable peptide crosslinker that enables cell-mediated degradation of hyaluronic acid hydrogels. HS-MMP-SH undergoes Michael-type addition with acrylate-functionalized hyaluronic acid to form hydrogels. HA-MMP hydrogels crosslinked by HS-MMP-SH support cell infiltration and vascular invasion in vivo[1].
