HS-MMP-SH
HS-MMP-SH is a bis-cysteine matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-degradable peptide crosslinker that enables cell-mediated degradation of hyaluronic acid hydrogels. HS-MMP-SH undergoes Michael-type addition with acrylate-functionalized hyaluronic acid to form hydrogels. HA-MMP hydrogels crosslinked by HS-MMP-SH support cell infiltration and vascular invasion in vivo.

Description
In Vivo
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.
-
Animal Model:BALB/c (female, 6-8 weeks old, 20-30 g)[1]
-
Dosage:0.9 mg HS-MMP-SH per hydrogel; two hydrogels implanted per mouse (one per subcutaneous pocket)
-
Administration:subcutaneous; single implantation; 14 days
-
Result:In porous hydrogels, cellular invasion at 14 days was 2424 nuclei/mm2 for chemical sintering (CS), 3037 nuclei/mm2 for heat sintering (HS), and 2672 nuclei/mm2 for non-sintering (NS).
Blood vessels were present in hydrogels formed from all three sintering techniques, and vessel density normalized to gel area was comparable among groups.
Approximately half of the vessels present in all samples were ≤6 µm in diameter.
Non-porous hydrogels showed host cells only at the periphery at 14 days.
