IUPAC Name: L-arginine compound with 2-(4-isobutylphenyl)propanoic acid (1:1)
InChIKey: GCCOJNYCFNSJII-VWMHFEHESA-N
SMILES: N=C(N)NCCC[C@H](N)C(O)=O.OC(C(C1=CC=C(C=C1)CC(C)C)C)=O
Biological Activity: Ibuprofen arginine is an orally active L-arginine salt of Ibuprofen (HY-78131). Ibuprofen arginine inhibits COX-2-dependent PGE2 production, inhibits iNOS and NOX-2, and reduces pro-inflammatory mediators, nitrite, ROS, oxidative stress, and cytokine secretion. Ibuprofen arginine inhibits ERK1/2 and STAT3 phosphorylation and attenuates M1 polarization. Ibuprofen arginine can serve as a substrate to provide L-arginine to support iNOS-mediated nitrite production and eNOS-mediated NO release, reversing NOS inhibitor-induced dysfunction and L-NAME (HY-18729)-induced contraction. Ibuprofen arginine alleviates joint inflammation and has antibacterial activity. Ibuprofen arginine can be used in research on inflammation-related diseases and pain[1][2][3][4][5].
