Biological Activity: Ovalitenone is a flavonoid found in the plant Millettia peguensis and acts as a CYP1A1/CYP1B1 inhibitor with IC50 values of 0.28 and 0.6 μM, respectively. Ovalitenone significantly decreases the levels of N-cadherin, snail, and slug while increasing E-cadherin, thereby inhibiting the EMT pathway. Ovalitenone also inhibits the regulatory signaling pathways of focal adhesion kinase (FAK), ATP-dependent tyrosine kinase (AKT), mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), and cell division cycle 42 (Cdc42). Ovalitenone inhibits the proliferation, migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, and cancer stem cell-like phenotype of lung cancer cells. Ovalitenone can be used in lung cancer-related research[1][2][3][4].
