IUPAC Name: 1-(2-fluorophenyl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-2-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethan-1-ol
InChIKey: JWUCHKBSVLQQCO-UHFFFAOYSA-N
SMILES: OC(C1=CC=C(F)C=C1)(C2=CC=CC=C2F)CN3N=CN=C3
Biological Activity: Flutriafol is an orally active triazole fungicide. Flutriafol blocks the biosynthesis of ergosterol, cholesterol, and steroids by inhibiting CYP51, thereby inhibiting fungal cell membrane formation and exhibiting antifungal activity. Flutriafol induces oxidative stress, mitochondrial depolarization, and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells. Flutriafol also modulates dopamine release and reduces plasma cholesterol, triglycerides, and carotenoid eye ring pigmentation. Flutriafol can be used in research related to fungal infections and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease[1][2][3][4][5][6].
