Biological Activity: Iotrolan is a non-ionic contrast agent. Iotrolan induces Apoptosis. Iotrolan decreases glomerular filtration rate and renal perfusate flow, increases urine flow, and does not significantly decrease fractional sodium reabsorption. Iotrolan can be used in studies of COVID-19 and contrast-induced nephrotoxicity[1][2][3][4][5][6].
