Iotrolan
Iotrolan is a non-ionic contrast agent. Iotrolan induces Apoptosis. Iotrolan decreases glomerular filtration rate and renal perfusate flow, increases urine flow, and does not significantly decrease fractional sodium reabsorption. Iotrolan can be used in studies of COVID-19 and contrast-induced nephrotoxicity.

-
Cell Line:LLC-PK1 renal tubular cells
-
Concentration:18.75-150 mg iodine/mL; 75 mg iodine/mL; 98.5 mM (equal molarity); 98.5 mM (equimolar comparison)
-
Incubation Time:1-24 h
-
Result:At 75 mg iodine/mL, MTT conversion was 41% of undamaged control cells.
At equal molarity (98.5 mM), MTT conversion was 41%.
At equimolar concentrations (98.5 mM), MTT conversion was 50%.
