Biological Activity: 6-PhEt-ATP-γ-S (N6-(Phenethyl)-ATPγS) is a bulky ATP analog probe carrying a thiophosphate group. 6-PhEt-ATP-γ-S, as an orthogonal phosphate donor, is specifically utilized by mutant-sensitive kinases such as CDK12-AS and Slt2-as to label their direct substrate proteins. 6-PhEt-ATP-γ-S specifically binds to the enlarged pocket of mutant kinases via its bulky side chain (avoiding wild-type), and covalently labels substrates through thiophosphorylation. 6-PhEt-ATP-γ-S can be used for kinase-substrate profiling studies[1][2].
