Peucedanin
Based on 1 Customer Validation
Peucedanin is an orally active insect growth inhibitor and coumarin compound. Peucedanin reduces Hsp27 and Hsp72 expression and blocks Ca2+ channel activity. Peucedanin induces Apoptosis and necrosis. Peucedanin reduces the relative growth rate and consumption rate of Spodoptera littoralis larvae. Peucedanin can be used in research on cervical cancer.

In Vivo
Peucedanin (3 μmol/g fresh wt; oral; three days) slightly decreases RGR and RCR in second-instar Spodoptera littoralis larvae[1].
MedChemExpress (MCE) has not independently confirmed the accuracy of these methods. They are for reference only.

Animal Model:laboratory colony (neonate larvae)[1]
-
Dosage:1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0 μmol/g fresh wt
-
Administration:oral; continuous; six days
-
Result:At 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 μmol/g fresh wt, larval growth was 68%, 23%, 22%, 18%, and 8% of control, respectively.
No larvae died during the bioassay.
