Pyrrolidone 1
Pyrrolidone 1 is a selective 14-3-3/PMA2 protein-protein interaction stabilizer with a Kd of 80 μM. Pyrrolidone 1 binds to the 14-3-3/PMA2 interface and stabilizes the protein-protein complex, thereby activating the PMA2 proton pump. Pyrrolidone 1 induces stomatal opening in isolated Commelina communis leaves. Pyrrolidone 1 can be used in research related to diseases mediated by 14-3-3-mediated protein-protein interactions.

In Vitro
Pyrrolidone 1 (50 μM; 3 h) induces an average stomatal opening of 3 μm in isolated Commelina communis epidermis[1].
Pyrrolidone 1 is selective and destabilizes the binding of 14-3-3 to Raf1, p53, Cdc25C, RNF11, Mlf1, AICD, Cby, or YAP[1].
