L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid
L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid is an endogenous metabolite. L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid serves as a substrate for phosphatases and releases inorganic phosphate upon catalytic dephosphorylation. L-2-phosphoglyceric acid is upregulated in human oral fibroblasts treated with Porphyromonas gingivalis bacterial extracellular vesicles. L-2-Phosphoglyceric acid is useful for research related to prostate cancer and periodontitis.
