Diethylcarbamazine N-oxide is stable to extraction in alkalinized urine but with low efficiency, and can be converted to Diethylcarbamazine upon thermal decomposition or reduction by sulfur dioxide. Diethylcarbamazine N-oxide can be used for the study of Diethylcarbamazine metabolism .
