Pyrrolidone 1 is a selective 14-3-3/PMA2 protein-protein interaction stabilizer with a Kd of 80 μM. Pyrrolidone 1 binds to the 14-3-3/PMA2 interface and stabilizes the protein-protein complex, thereby activating the PMA2 proton pump.
